I'm writing today to express my support for the Build Back Better Act.

This bill presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for clean energy and the wellbeing of Georgia residents. In particular, it would extend and strengthen the federal solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC) for a decade and create a refundability option. Tax credits help offset the upfront cost of solar, and refundability would open the door to energy savings for the millions of families, nonprofits and schools that don't qualify for the tax credit.

Georgia ranks ninth in the nation for installed solar capacity, yet clean energy sources like solar provide just over 3% of our electricity. The measures in the Build Back Better Act would help harness our state's solar potential and help our burgeoning solar industry to grow.

The Build Back Better Act would make us all healthier by mitigating pollution and more prosperous by expanding access to affordable electricity. Please support this important legislation.
